With the 2010 ACF Softball Season nearly completed, we will again end with a Post Season Round Robin Tournament. This year’s tournament will be held at Pfieffer Park to allow teams that wish to bring grills out and have some family and fellowship time between or during games to do so. Official game times will be posted Thursday night to give additional teams wishing to get in a chance to contact Rhino or Brad.
So far 5 teams are slated to compete. Orchard Hill 1 (Wion) and Orchard Hill 2 (Allspach), Faith Wesleyan, Trinity Lutheran, and BOB-etc (Bethany / Open Bible and a few others). Tentatively games will start at 10:00 Saturday morning. Games will be at 10:00 and 11:15. We will take a break after the 11:15 games until 1:30 to allow teams that wish to cook out to do so, or to allow players to go get some lunch. Afternoon games will then be at 1:30, 2:45 and 4:00. The tournament should be complete by 5:00 or so with each team having played 4 games.
This schedule is subject to change should additional teams wish to get into the tournament. If your church or a combination of churches wishes to enter, please contact Rhino by Thursday 5:00pm. Don’t forget, there is a $50 fee for this tournament – proceeds go to cost overruns for the ACF Budget year.
Also, mark your calendars for 6:30pm Tuesday, September 7, for the post season picnic. Trophies and plaques will be given to teams at this time as well as being an opportunity to discuss fall or winter sports possibilities and plans for 2011.
